Hello Everyone!!! We just thought we would share what we came up with as far as a Menu for the 4th of July weekend. Let us know what you think... we are TOTALLY open to suggestions!!! We wanted to make sure you like what we're going to have:)

Friday
Breakfast= french toast and fruit
 bread: eggs: milk: syrup: fruit: Orange Juice
Lunch= Sandwiches (I guess the boys are planning to go golfing)
 bread: meat: lettuce: tomatoes: mustard: mayo: miracle whip: chips
Dinner= Hawaiian Haystacks
rice: chicken gravy: tomatoes: cucumbers: cheese: noodles: coconut:
cherries: pineapple: green onion: green peppers
 * Dessert homemade ice cream
Saturday:
Grilled Breakfast= Pancakes, Eggs, Fresh Fruit
 eggs, milk, cheese, pancake mix, buttermilk, fruit, maple syrup, orange juice
Lunch= Sandwiches
Dinner= Picnic at the park
 Pizza: watermelon: cookies
Sunday:
Breakfast= cold cereal and banana bread
 Cereal: milk: banana bread
Lunch= Lasagna; salad; bread sticks

If we forgot anything that we need feel free to post it!! We are going to have a Huge ice chest
for drinks. Please bring some to share with everyone. Also if you want to help bring something
 just let us know what. Thanks:) We are super excited to have you all come!!!

Canning

Anyone interested in getting the stake canner and doing some canning (flour, sugar, etc) one night while the kids swim? (obviously I'm inviting myself to use your stake canner and your pool here!)

Happy Mother's Day to each of us with a "Mother Heart." Sister Julie Beck explains in more detail what a mother heart is:

"What is a mother heart and how is one acquired? We learn about some of those qualities in the scriptures. To paraphrase Proverbs: “Who can find a … woman [with a mother heart]? for her price is far above rubies. … She … worketh willingly with her hands. … With the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard. … She stretcheth out her hand to the poor. … Strength and honour are her clothing. … She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness” (Prov. 31:10, 13, 16, 20, 25–27). A woman with a mother heart has a testimony of the restored gospel, and she teaches the principles of the gospel without equivocation. She is keeping sacred covenants made in holy temples. Her talents and skills are shared unselfishly. Family Reunion!!

We just wanted to remind everyone that you are ALL invited to come stay with us for the 4th of July!! We have room for everyone!! Let us know if your able to come. We can't believe how fast the time is going. We were looking at the calender and realized Holy Cow!! This summer is going to go fast.

Happy Birthday Carter!

Thanks for coming to the last minute birthday party today! Carter LOVED playing with everyone and his gifts. I had to convince him tonight that he could only go to bed with ONE of his presents and not all of them! 

I made this for my lesson tomorrow. If anyone ever wants to borrow it just let me know.
