Here is where it all began for Mom and Dad! This is a picture of their first apartment together in New York after they got married.

Here's a little bit of family history...when Sean and I went to Ellis Island in New York, I typed in our great-grandfather's name who came here from Sweeden and here is what the computer pulled up. Pretty cool to see the record.

everyone had a great time at russ and katie's today. we appreciate them hosting this first--annual event at their place, the food was great--the ice cream a treat and the weather was perfect. it was nice to sit on their patio with the misters going. this was just a sample of the fun that is waiting for us all on lake powell.

amy's update

So I finally made it to the family blog - it is pretty cool!
I thouught I would give everyone an update about the job situation. I have applied for the Director position. I interviewed May 18th and had 3 interviews. The first was with 3 physicians - the chief of staff, the ed medical director and another ed physician. My next interview was with the nursing direcor from Banner Estrella Ed, directors from other departments at Thunderbird and ED staff - about 18 people total. The third interview was with one other nursing director. There are 3 other candidates and the last one will not interview until about mid June. After all the interviews are completed, the Chief Nursing Officer will meet with all the people that participated on the interview panels and make a decision based on concensus. It looks like I will probably not know anything until the end of June. In the meantime I will continue as the interim Director and then after the decision is made I will go from there :)

Reeslyn, Hunter, Spencer & Caitlyn

Remember Reeslyn, Hunter, Spencer & Caitlyn have their gymnastics performance tomorrow (friday) at 6:30!

Memorial Day

We are thinking 2:00 for this Monday, does that work for everyone? Bring your swimsuits!

We will have the hamburger meat and all the fixins for hamburgers and I'm pretty sure our ice maker will be enough ice for drinks, Sean and Jessica will bring salsa and chips? Here are a few other suggestions of things we will need and obviously other ideas are always welcome!

hot dogs
buns for both
fruit/jello salad
potato salad
drinks (we have plenty of diet soda for the diet drinkers)
paper products

Should we try and do home-made ice cream???

DON'T GET LEFT BEHIND...LAKE POWELL TRIP 2007

The Dates for the trip have been confirmed for July 21-30th. We need to know what dates everyone can go. Also, if you have any meal ideas let us know that too. Should we buy the food and split it? Should each family be in charge of a day? What do you think?
