#2. My favorite tradition with mom growing up was making nachos and watching "Murder She Wrote" every Sunday night. This was our special time every week. In the last few years we have built a new tradition of traveling to Indian Reservations together for my job. This has been a very special time for me to learn more about Mom (stories from her childhood, her likes, dislikes, etc...). Hopefully we can go on more trips together! Love ya Mom!

#1. My favorite story of mom is when I was pregnant with Caitlyn and I shattered my ankle. I was recuperating from surgery and Mom cleared out a bedroom in her house and moved Steve and I and Carley and Cameron in so she could help take care of us. We stayed until after Caitlyn was born (2 months). This is my favorite story because it illustrates mom's personality and qualities so well. She put aside everything going on in her life to see that my family was taken care of. That's the kind of mother she is. She puts the needs of others before her own -- not just sometimes, but all the time. I'm sure we stayed longer than we needed to, but it was nice having her take care of us....Wendy

#5. Dad said, "I loved my mom for her great homemade meals. I love Diana as a mother because of her love for the gospel and her love of the family."

My favorite vacation with mom became sort of a tradition while I was going to school in Utah. Mom and Dad would fly up for general Conference every 6 months and I would pick them up at the airport. We would stay at a hotel, go to conference, visit historic sites, do some shopping and eat out for every meal. It was neat to enjoy that every 6 months!

#2-My favorite tradition with mom was receiving a weekly letter from her during my mission. I always knew I would have a letter from her in the mail and I felt of her love for me as she wrote to me and updated me with things at home and with her words of encouragement for the good and bad times a mission had to offer. I knew for sure that during those two years I was not only her FAVORITE son, but also her FAVORITE child!
